Aliyah Santistevan Crowned Reina de la Fiestas de Questa

QUESTA (June 21) – Questa was graced with a beautiful sunmy day over MolyCorp Field as Aliyah Santistevan was crowned as Reina de la Fiestas de Questa.
In a tradition that goes back over a hundred years, rooted in colonial Spain, the Fiesta Queens are represented by youthful, unmarried catholic women whom are looked upon as civic leaders.
La Reina Santistevan said she was honored to be Questa’s next Reina and hopes to see the tradition continue.
This reporter asked her what she believes is most needed in Questa today.
“Better mental healhcare,” responded Santistevan. She hopes to promote better mental health for Questa and the surrounding communities.
